The Carter Group

Carter Group is a family-owned, Canterbury-based company established in 1946. As a long-term, intergenerational developer of land and buildings throughout the Canterbury region, the company appreciates the need to establish communities where people can build warm, quality homes and community-focused neighbourhoods.

With extensive experience in residential subdivision development, Carter Group has successfully completed projects like Hyde Park in Avonhead and Regents Park in Casebrook, which was the first in Christchurch to incorporate streams and lakes.

Westhaven builds on Carter Group’s experience delivering large-scale communities in Canterbury, including Earlsbrook in Lincoln.

The family's commitment to Canterbury also includes The Crossing retail development in Christchurch’s CBD, IPort Business Park in Rolleston and numerous other significant property investments. Carter Group focuses on long-term, well-planned developments that enhance the existing environment.
